Platinum #280: Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart

Hey there!

Another successfully completed Artifex Mundi game.

What is the game all about?
Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart is a Point & Click by Artifex Mundi, released for PS4 in 2016.
You’re Sarah Black, and you must stop the undead Captain Remington and save your daughter. The game starts within a museum but you will be taken to the mysterious Skull Island via an old shipwreck.
To proceed through the game, you must complete a few mini-games as well as some Hidden Object Puzzles (HOPs). Alternatively, you can also switch to Mahjong, if you don’t want to play HOPs. I found the game much easier when playing Mahjong instead of HOPs.
As every other game by Artifex Mundi, Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart has 2 difficulties and after beating the main story once, you unlock a short side story. This side story give you some additional background information.

What about trophies?
To unlock the Platinum Trophy, you must beat the game on each difficulty, beat all HOPs, every game of Mahjong and mini-games without using hints and beat the side story. You need two full playthroughs. On one, you need to beat the main story playing HOPs only and on the other one, you must play Mahjong only.
If you want to get this game done as quick as possible, I recommend using this walkthrough from playstatiotrophies.org.

Where can I get this game?
Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart is available digital only and can be found in the EU and NA store. There’s only one stack for this game.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes. In general, every game by Artifex Mundi is good when you’re up for an easy Platinum Trophy.

Platinum #279: Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek

Hey there!

I thought it was about time to play another Artifex Mundi game.

What is the game all about?
Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek is a Point & Click by Artifex Mundi, released for PS4 in 2017.
At the beginning, you wake up in the middle of a street near a small town and you can’t remember anything. The more you progress through the game, the more or your memory comes back. Your task is to uncover the truth behind the missing girls in Maple Creek. For this, you must collect and combine items. These items will help you to reach new areas.
The game has a few mini-games and a lot of Hidden Object Puzzles (HOP). Some of those puzzles can be quite tough, as a few items are very well hidden.
Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek has 2 difficulties and after beating the main story once, you unlock a short side story. This side story give you some additional background information.

What about trophies?
To unlock the Platinum Trophy, you must beat the game on each difficulty, beat all HOPs and mini-games without using hints and beat the side story. As the difficulties stack, it’s best to play through the game on the highest difficulty to avoid a second playthrough. Surprisingly, there are no collectibles.
If you want to get this game done as quick as possible, I recommend using this walkthrough from playstatiotrophies.org.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes. It’s not the easiest nor the quickest game from Artifex Mundi, but its story isn’t that bad as the others. Additionally, it has only gold trophies. :-)

Platinum #276-278: Deep Ones (EU Vita & PS4, NA PS4)

Hey there!

Another quick & easy triple Platinum.

What is the game all about?
In Deep Ones, you take control of an unnamed diver who crashed with his submarine. Reason for his crash is a giant red octopus.
The game is an easy, but surprisingly very diversified, 2D platformer. Of course, most of the time you’re walking from left to right, but you also must do things like riding a sea-horse, taking down enemy ships with a cannon and fighting bosses.
The enemies you encounter during the game are fairly easy to beat. A few hits with your harpoon or your sword will take them down. But watch out, you also can only take a few hits. If the hit you too often, or you fall down an abyss, you’re dead. Luckily, there are a lot of checkpoints. Thus, you won’t lose much of your progress.
The boss fights in Deep Ones can be tough, if you don’t know what to do. But once you figure out their patterns, they’re easy too.
The graphics of the game are pretty weird. I know, it’s meant to be retro but to be honest, it just looks strange. But once you get used to it, you realize that the graphics fit to the game. Same goes for the soundtrack.
On PS4, the controls are good, but on Vita, they could have been better. I had the feeling that the X button hasn’t always reacted as I wanted to.

What about trophies?
The game has story as well as kill related trophies and some missables. If you watch out for the missables, you will get most of the trophies in one playthrough. Especially watch out for “Safe landing” and “Jelly fish party”. They come very late in the game and if you miss them, you need to replay nearly the whole game again. The rest of the trophies should unlock while going for “My dad Black Beard”, for which you need to kill the ship’s captain 3 times.
Please note that “We have fins for lunch” is glitchy. For this trophy, you must kill 20 sharks. There’s only one part in the game in which you must fight sharks so you need to grind the kills here. Simply kill one shark and kill yourself afterwards. Do this 20 times and the trophy will unlock.

Where can I get this game?
Deep Ones is available in the EU and NA store. Each store has a separate version for PS4 and Vita, each having its own trophy stack. Thus, you can unlock up to 3 Platinum Trophies with this game. Sadly, the game isn’t cross-buy.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.come. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, you should get every version you can. It’s easy, can be completed quite quickly and if you like platformers, you might also enjoy this one.
