Platinum #249+250: Suicide Guy (NA & EU)

Hey there!

Another easy double platinum. :-)

What is the game all about?
Suicide Guy is an adventure game. You take control of a character who fell asleep on his couch while watching TV. In his dreams, he realizes that the bottle of beer he was holding in his hands is falling to the floor. Now he needs to wake up quickly to save his beloved beer. To do this, you must solve some puzzles to end the dream by committing suicide. Unfortunately, you don’t wake up. Instead, you end up in another weirder dream.
There are 24 different levels (dreams). Every dream takes place in another location and has his own unique puzzle to solve. Some of them are quite challenging and it might take a while to figure out the correct solution.

What about trophies?
To unlock the Platinum Trophy, you must complete all levels and find every collectible in the game (1 per level). Don’t worry if you miss a collectible, there’s chapter select and you can replay each level as soon as you’ve beaten it. As mentioned above, some of the puzzles are quite challenging. If you want to complete quickly, check out the video walkthrough by IBadDriverI below. For the first version, I needed roughly 3 hours but I completed the second version easily in under 2 hours.

Where can I get this game?
Suicide Guy is available digital only and can be found in the EU and NA PSN store. Each version has its own trophy stack.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, as it can be completed quickly by following a guide. But for the EU version, I’d wait until it is on sale as it costs nearly twice as much as the NA version.

Platinum #247+248: Little Adventure on the Prairie (Vita & PS4)

Hey there!

This is probably the easiest, quickest and cheapest Platinum Trophy of 2018.

What is the game all about?
Little Adventure on the Prairie is an adventure, a platformer, a fucking shit game in which you run from left to right and kill noob enemies with your sword. There are 12 levels within this game and you’re doing same all the time. Running, jumping and killing the same enemies over and over again with your sword. Even though the enemies may look different from chapter to chapter, they still have only a sword with which they rarely attack and are still weak.
Your commands are also quite limited. You can run, jump, and can do exactly one type of attack. The attack and defense upgrades you find don’t seem to make you any stronger at all.
I don’t really want to talk about graphics or music, because it’s completely outdated. The whole game looks like it was developed within 5 minutes.
On the positive side, the levels are very short and the whole game can be completed within 20-30 minutes.

What about trophies?
Don’t worry about trophies. All you need to do is to finish each of the 12 levels. All other trophies will unlock during the course of play. If you really need a walkthrough, or simply want to see some of the “amazing” gameplay, check out the video walkthrough by IBadDriverI below.

Where can I get this game?
Little Adventure on the Prairie can be found in the EU / NA PSN store. There’s a PS4 and a Vita version. Each has its own trophy stack. It’s not cross-buy but each version costs less than 2€.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Absolutely! This game is even easier than My Name is Mayo.

Platinum #246: Broken Age (Vita PH)

Hey there!

Broken Age has been released in 2015 for the PSN store. In 2017, limitedrungames.com released a limited physical version of the game for PS4 and Vita. Surprisingly, the Vita version has an unique trophy stack.

What is the game all about?
Broken Age is a Point-and-Click game in which you’re in control of 2 characters (Shay Volta and Vella Tartine). Both live in different worlds and you can switch between them at any time. During the play, their worlds collide and both end up being trapped in the other one’s world.
To proceed with the story, you must solve genre-typical puzzles. Be aware, the puzzles in this game are quite complicated. This game is definitively not recommended for Point-and-Click newcomers.
Broken Age has a very nice graphical design and a good soundtrack. Furthermore, it features very prominent voice actors like Elijah Wood and Jack Black. The controls are very good and if you’re playing on the Vita, you can use the touch-screen. Unfortunately, the touch-screen doesn’t work perfectly in every situation.

What about trophies?
This game has only a few story-related but a lot of missable trophies. Thus, it’s recommended to play with a guide, if you want to finish the game as soon as possible. Nevertheless, it can’t be completed with one playthrough as there’s also a trophy for beating the game within one hour. Thus, you need 2 full playthroughs in any way.
If you’re looking for a good guide, I can recommend you this step-by-step walkthrough from playstationtrophies.org.

Where can I get this game?
Broken Age can be downloaded from the PSN store and is cross-buy (PS4 & Vita).
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
The separate trophy stack for the Vita is exclusively available for the limitedrungames.com physical release. It was limited to 4500 pieces and is sold-out already. Your only chance to get this game now is to buy it via eBay but be aware, it won’t be cheap.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
No, not really. It’s hard to get, cost a lot and has a lot of annoying missable trophies.

Platinum #245: Mecho Tales (Vita)

Hey there!

Thanks to limitedrungames.com, everyone outside of the US is now also able to play the Vita version of this game. Presupposed that you’ve been able to grab one of the limited copies of this game.

What is the game all about?
Mecho Tales is a very short and easy platformer. You must run and jump with your character through a few very short levels in which you must beat enemies and bosses. Every beaten enemy drops a few cogs which are the currency in the game. With this cogs you can buy new drones (weapons). I know, this all doesn’t sound bad but be aware, this game is terrible!
On the Vita, your worst problem will be the controls. The left analog stick is really imprecise and doesn't work properly. Whenever you cam to a tricky part, like when you have to jump over a series of spikes, use the D-Pad. Surprisingly, you can jump much farther and more precisely than with the analog stick.

What about trophies?
You’ll get most of the trophies while progressing through the game. There are trophies for beating every boss and for picking up cogs and hearts. The only trophy that might need some grinding could be the one for buying all drones but it shouldn’t take too long. Simply replay a few levels and beat enemies until you have enough cogs. If you need any help with one of the games trophies, check out this guide on playstationstrophies.org.

Where can I get this game?
Mecho Tales is exclusively available in the NA PSN store and it's cross-buy with the PS4 versions. This means, if your main account is tied to the NA store, simply download the game from there. Everyone else would have to buy a physical copy from limitedrungames.com. Unfortunately, only a few have been made and it's sold out already. You best chance is to buy this game at eBay, but it may cost a lot.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
If you can download it from the NA PSN store when it is on sale, yes. Otherwise just skip this game. The limited physical release isn't worth the money.

Platinum #244: The Coma: Recut

Hey there!

If you want to get the Platinum Trophy for this game, make sure you download it from the HK PSN store or buy the limited physical release. In all other PSN stores, it’s only a 100% game.

What is the game all about?
First of all, The Coma: Recut is a revised version of The Coma: Cutting Class, which has been released on Steam back in 2015. Originally developed and published by the Korean Devespresso Games, they teamed up with Digerati Distribution for a console release.
The Coma: Recut is a 2D survival horror game in which you take control of Youngho, who is a student at Sehwa High. He fell asleep during finals and woke up in a living nightmare, in which he gets hunted by a killer. Your task is easy: survive!
To survive, you can run through school and hide in dark places. You also have a flashlight, with which you can find items in the dark. But be careful, intensive use of the flashlight will draw too attention towards you, which will lead to your death.
The game is really nice. It offers a good story and awesome hand drawn graphics. The story is brilliant but unfortunately, it’s very short.

What about trophies?
This game has very less trophies but most of them are missable. Luckily, it isn’t very long so you can experience the story on your own and came back later for a trophy clean up. If you just want to get this game done as quick as possible, you can use the text walkthrough from playstationtrophies.org or below video walkthrough.
Even though I was able to complete the game in around 1 hour, I haven’t included The Coma: Recut in my 1 HOUR PLATINUM TROPHIES list, as I was reading the text guide and watching the video a few times to prepare myself for this game. But even without this, you can unlock all trophies in under 2 hours.

Where can I get this game?
As already mentioned above, the only digital version of this game that offers a Platinum Trophy is available in the HK PSN store. In the EU / NA store you’ll only get a 100% game.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
Alternately, there’s also a play-asia.com exclusive physical release available. It’s limited to 2000 pieces and includes the game, the soundtrack, a manual, stickers and a numbered certificate. This is a must have for all collectors.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, but make sure to buy the HK version.

Platinum #243: Knee Deep

Hey there!

I wanted to play this game for a long time but there haven’t been any good guides and the game was too expensive for me. Lately some awesome guides have been released and the game was on sale. Thus, I could finally play this game.

What is the game all about?
Most people would consider Knee Deep as an adventure but for me, this genre doesn’t fit to this game. You don’t walk around on your own. Instead, you’re just giving answers to proceed with the story. Thus, it’s more like a Visual Novel.
The game takes place in Cypress Knee and starts with the suicide of an actor. The game is split into 3 acts with various chapters in which you take control of Romana Teague (blogger), Jack Bellet (reporter) or K.C. Gaddis (private investigator). These people want to find out more about the suicide and uncover some well-hidden secrets.
As already mentioned, Knee Deep is very story-driven and all you must to is to give some answers to proceed with the story. The story is really good and the presentation of the game is awesome. Every scene is set up like a stage and thus, the game feels more like a play.
The voice actors are good and the soundtrack fits perfectly to the scenes.

What about trophies?
The game has a lot of missable trophies. If you don’t know what to do, you may need a lot of playthroughs to unlock the Platinum Trophy. Therefore, I suggest following the spoiler free text guide on psnprofiles.com or the video walkthrough below. Following one of these guide, you only need 1 full playthrough of the game and additionally, 2 partial playthroughs of act 1. Furthermore, you can still experience the awesome story.

Where can I get this game?
Knee Deep is available digital only in very PSN store.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, as it can be done within a few hours by using one of the above stated guides.
