Targets 2018

Hey there!

It’s the last day of 2017 and I thought it might be a good idea to share my targets for 2018 with you. But before I let you know my target, let’s have a look at my profile as of 31/12/2018.

As you can see, I currently have 224 Platinum Trophies, a completion rate of 98.59% and 124 unearned trophies. All of these figures have to change. So here are my goals:

#1 350 Platinum Trophies
This would be an increase of 126 Platinum Trophies, which would be 10.5 per month. This may sound much but you should know that I unlocked 140 Platinum Trophies within this year. So, I need to unlock 14 Platinum Trophies less in the same time. Why don’t I aim 140 or more? Because my playtime has changed within this year and will change again beginning of next year. Thus, I can’t guarantee that I can spend the same amount of time for gaming. But I’m positive that there will be released again a lot of quick and easy games. Thus, it should be possible to reach 350 Platinum Trophies even if I would have lesser time.

#2 Completion Rate of 99% or Higher
I already have a very high completion rate but I’m not satisfied with it. I want to have at least 99%. This means that I must complete every game I play and every upcoming DLC for those games. This could be a challenge as the base game might be easy but you’ll never know how hard the DLC will be. Yes, I’m looking at you Need for Speed! I think my target #3 will also come in handy to reach this completion rate.

#3 <100 Unearned Trophies
I think this will be the hardest target, as it will force me to play Bloodborne and the DLCs of Dying Light. Those who follow my blog know that Bloodborne was my first game on PS4 and I unlocked my first trophy ever in this game. Nevertheless, I unlocked 2 trophies only in this game until yet as I truly hate it and it is absolutely not my type of game. With Dying Light, it’s a different story. In my opinion, it’s one of the best games released on PS4 but I simply don’t find the motivation to play the DLCs. There are also a lot of DLCs planned for next year and I don’t know if they will get trophies or not. And then there’s The Elder Scrolls: Tamriel Unlimited on my profile. I like this game but there’s no realistic chance that I will ever complete it as it just takes too much time. I might unlock one trophy from time to time but there will be for sure new DCLs with new trophies next year. Nevertheless, I’m positive that I will also reach this target.

So, these are my targets for 2018. They might be challenging, but I think I can reach all of them. All that is left to say is to wish all of you a Happy New Year and a lot or trophies within 2018.

Platinum #223+224: Aer (NA & EU)

Hey there!

Aer is another quick and easy adventure which can be completed twice.

What is the game all about?
Aer – Memories of Old is an adventure in which you take control of one of the last shapeshifters. Your task is to pilgrimage the Land of Gods in which you must uncover secrets that will help to save reality.
The graphics in the game are nice. The style reminded me of Grow Home, a 100% game which I played last year. The controls are also good. Unfortunately, the story a little bit too slow driven and boring for my taste. There could have been more action.

What about trophies?
Most of the games trophies are unlocked by following the story and exploring the world. Only a few trophies are missable. If you follow below video walkthrough by IBadDriverI, you won’t miss any trophies and will complete the game in ~2 hours.

Where can I get this game?
Aer can be bought in the EU, NA and HK PSN store. Each version has a different stack, so you can unlock this Platinum Trophy thrice. Only the EU version has been released physically and you can get it here or here.
If you don’t know how to set up an account in a different region, check out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI. If you need PSN cards, you can buy them here. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, as it is a decent game which can be completed within 2 hours and which has 2 different stacks. But you should wait until it is on sale as 14.99€ / 14.99$ is overpriced.

Hard Facts:
System(s):                         PS4
Trophies:                           1P, 6G, 14S, 0B
Points:                               1140

Difficulty:                           3/10
Time to Platinum:              2 hours (with guide)
Number of Playthroughs:  1

100% #52: CAT Interstellar

Hey there!

Another quick an easy 100% game which can be completed in ~30min – or in ~10min by using a glitch.

What is the game all about?
CAT Interstellar is an adventure / walking simulator which takes place on Mars. It’s a very short and story driven game in which you take control over a DOG V4 drone. After an accident, it’s your task to uncover the past of this planet.

What about trophies?
All of its trophies are story-related and if you follow below video walkthrough by IBadDriverI, you’re able to finish the game in under 30 minutes. The game can also be complete in even less time by using the glitch described here.

Where can I get this game?
The NA PSN store is currently the only possibility where you can buy CAT Interstellar.
If you don’t know how to set up an account in a different region, check out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI. If you need PSN cards, you can buy them here. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?

Platinum #222: Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse

Hey there!

Whenever you think it can’t get easier, play Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. This game can be completed without nearly doing anything.

What is the game all about?
I haven’t payed much attention to the story of Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. The only thing I know is that it is a Visual Novel with a weird story. Luckily, you only need to playthrough the game once. There aren’t any different endings.

What about trophies?
You don’t have to worry much about trophies as they’re all story-related. Simply start the game and use a rubber-band to hold down R2. With this you can auto-skip through the game. There are 3 choices at the beginning which all can be answered with option 1. The other 90 minutes are just watching the game play itself. After this, all you need to do is to go to the premium section of the game to unlock the missing trophies. If you want to know more, check out this guide from ps3imports.org.

Where can I get this game?
Like most other Visual Novels, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse hasn’t been released in the EU / NA. Thus, the only possible way to buy this game is to import it here or here. Please be aware of shipment and import taxes when ordering from these sites.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
If you’re not afraid of importing games, yes. This game is so easy, you can do something else while playing it. I for myself played 帝国海軍恋慕情~明治横須賀行進曲~ on my Vita while playing Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse on PS3. :-)

Platinum #221: 帝国海軍恋慕情~明治横須賀行進曲~

Hey there!

帝国海軍恋慕情~明治横須賀行進曲~ AKA TEIKOKU KAIGUN KOI BOJOU MEIJI YOKOSUKA KOUSHINKYOKU is one of the quickest and easiest Visual Novels out there.

What is the game all about?
帝国海軍恋慕情~明治横須賀行進曲~ is an Otome game in which you need to date 5 different guys. Each guy has its own endings, depending on the choices you make during the game.

What about trophies?
As in every other Visual Novel / Otome you unlock trophies for reaching all endings and getting all CGs. All trophies can be unlocked in ~30 minutes by using the JUMP function. With this function, you can directly jump to the next choice / chapter. This will save you a lot of time compared to auto-skipping. The get this game done as fast as possible I recommend this guide from ps3imports.org.

Where can I get this game?
Like most other Visual Novels, 帝国海軍恋慕情~明治横須賀行進曲~  hasn’t been released in the EU / NA. Thus, the only possible way to buy this game is to import it here or here. Please be aware of shipment and import taxes when ordering from these sites.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
If you’re not afraid of importing games, yes. I won’t get much easier or faster.

Platinum #220: Mecho Tales (PS4)

Hey there!

Mecho Tales is for sure one of the worst platformers I’ve played in my whole life.

What is the game all about?
Mecho Tales is a very short and easy platformer. You must run and jump with your character through a few very short levels in which you must beat enemies and bosses. Every beaten enemy drops a few cogs which are the currency in the game. With this cogs you can buy new drones (weapons). I know, this all doesn’t sound bad but be aware, this game is terrible!

What about trophies?
You’ll get most of the trophies while progressing through the game. There are trophies for beating every boss and for picking up cogs and hearts. The only trophy that might need some grinding could be the one for buying all drones but it shouldn’t take too long. Simply replay a few levels and beat enemies until you have enough cogs. If you need any help with one of the games trophies, check out this guide on playstationstrophies.org.

Where can I get this game?
Mecho Tales is exclusively available in the NA PSN store. It’s also cross-buy with the Vita version which as its own stack. So, if you have a NA main account, you can unlock 2 Platinum Trophies with this game.
If you don’t know how to set up an account in a different region, check out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI. If you need PSN cards, you can buy them here. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, but only if you’re up for an easy Platinum Trophy and only when it’s on sale as 19.99$ is way too much for this game. If you’re looking for a good platformer, buy something else.

Hard Facts:
System(s):                         PS4, Vita
Trophies:                           1P, 11G, 0S, 0B
Points:                               1170
Trophy Stacks:                  2 (PS4 & NA Vita)
Difficulty:                           3/10
Time to Platinum:              3-4 hours
Number of Playthroughs:  1
Fun Factor:                        2/10

Platinum #218+219: Chaos on Deponia (EU & NA)

Hey there!

Beginning of this year I played Deponia which I really enjoyed. Since than I was waiting for the sequel Chaos on Deponia. It turned out that Chaos on Deponia is good, but not as good as its prequel.

What is the game all about?
Chaos on Deponia is a point & click and follows up the story of Deponia. You take again control of Rufus, who wants to leave Deponia and travel to Elysium. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work as planned and you’re stuck on Deponia. Even worse, your beloved Goal has now 3 personalities and you must unite them again.
If you’ve played the prequel, you will also enjoy this game. It’s nearly as good as Deponia and you’ll meet some old friends and foes again. If you haven’t played Deponia, you can also enjoy Chaos on Deponia. Everything is explained and you might only miss the one or the other insider joke.

What about trophies?
This game has a typical point & clock trophy list. There are story-related trophies mixed with trophies for doing some random things. This time you also must find 12 collectibles, which are related to 2 different trophies. Thus, you need to work with a back-up save. The game is really tricky at some points. Therefore, it might be smart to play this game with this walkthrough, which can be found on ps3imports.org. With this guide, you will be able to get all trophies in one playthrough and you shouldn’t need more than 3-4 hours. Alternatively, you can follow below video walkthrough by IBadDriverI.

Where can I get this game?
The easiest and cheapest way to get Chaos on Deponia is to buy the digital versions which can be found in the EU and NA store. These are 2 different versions which different trophy stacks.
If you don’t know how to set up an account in a different region, check out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI. If you need PSN cards, you can buy them here. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
You can also buy a physical version in every game store but be aware, it’s more expensive. Furthermore, you won’t get the EU version in a NA retail store and vice versa.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
If you like point & click, yes. But wait until the game is on sale as 19.99€ / 19.99$ is overpriced in my opinion.

Hard Facts:
System(s):                          PS4
Trophies:                            1P, 4G, 16S, 14B
Points:                                1230
Trophy Stacks:                   2 (EU & NA)
Difficulty:                            4/10
Time to Platinum:              3-4 hours (with guide)
Number of Playthroughs:  1 (+ back-up save)

100% #51: HiQ Ace

Hey there!

A free, quick and easy 100% game? I had to get this one.

What is the game all about?
There’s not much to say about this game. HiQ Ace is a puzzle game so you’re putting together some pieces to complete puzzles. ;-)

What about trophies?
There are only 5 trophies. One trophy for completing each a puzzle of each difficulty (easy, medium and hard) within a few minutes, one for fitting 1000 pieces in place and one for using 100 power-ups. Everything is completely easy and can be done within 1 hour. There’s currently no guide available but trust me, you won’t need one.

Where can I get this game?
HiQ Ace is available for free in the EU and NA store.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Definitively yes! The game is for free and can be completed within an hour without much effort. Who doesn’t want to get some free trophies?

Hard Facts:
System(s):                         PS4
Trophies:                           0P, 1G, 3S, 1B
Points:                               195
Trophy Stacks:                  1
Difficulty:                           2/10
Time to Platinum:              <1 hour

Platinum #215-217: Semispheres (AS Vita, EU Vita, AS PS4)

Hey there!

Another 3 Platinum Trophies which I could unlock within short time. Playing games back to back really pays off.

What is the game all about?
Semispheres is a puzzle game. The screen is split into 2 halves (left and right) showing the same level. In each side, you have a sphere and it’s your task to move this sphere to the exit. For this, you control the left sphere (orange) with the left stick and the right sphere (blue) with the right stick. This sounds simple but it very difficult. The 2 halves have the same layout but different obstacles / enemies and sometimes the orange and blue sphere switch sides. I had a lot of brainfucks while playing this game.

What about trophies?
There are 13 chapters and completing each of them will reward you with a trophy. For the last trophy, you must complete all 13 chapter in one sitting within 35:00 minutes. This is by far the hardest trophy as there is no way to stop or reset the timer. On my first stack, it took me 6 trial runs to learn all the puzzles and its solutions. On my 7th run I could beat the game in around 33 minutes. I immediately played the other 2 versions and could complete each of them on my first run.
I highly recommend to watch below video by IBadDriverI a few times before starting the game. Furthermore, you should do 2-3 trial runs to see which puzzles give you troubles and watch the solutions again. As soon as you’ve beaten the game once, immediately play the other versions – if you plan to play more than 1 version.

Where can I get this game?
Semispheres is available in every store but you need to be careful. Not every version has a Platinum Trophy as a few of them are only 100% games. The versions with a Platinum Trophy are AS Vita, EU Vita, NA/JP Vita and AS PS4.
If you don’t know how to set up an account in a different region, check out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI.
If you’re living outside the Asian region, there’s still a way to get the Asian Vita version. For this you must buy the limited collector’s edition which is exclusively available at play-asia.com. There you can also buy digital PSN cards which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes, if needed.
There’s no need to buy the limited physical Asian PS4 version as you can download it from the HK store.
This means that you can unlock up to 3 Platinum Trophies with 1 game (EU or NA/JP Vita, AS Vita and AS PS4).

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, but only if you plan to play more than 1 version. The first Platinum Trophy make take up to 6 hours but every other version can then be completed in around 30 minutes.
Hard Facts:
System(s):                          PS4 + Vita
Trophies:                            1P, 10G, 3S, 1B
Points:                                1185
Trophy Stacks:                   4 (EU Vita, NA/JP Vita, AS Vita, AS PS4)
Difficulty:                            4/10
Time to Platinum:               4-6 hours (first stack), ~30 minutes (every other stack)
Number of Playthroughs:    4-6 (first stack), 1 (every other stack)
Fun Factor:                         6/10
