100% #49+50: Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse – Episode 1 & 2

Hey there!

These are two 100% game which I might have never played if they wouldn’t have been free for PS+ members.

What is the game all about?
Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse is the fifth installment of this Point & Click series. You again take over control of George Stobbard and Nico Collard to find out more about a murder and a stolen picture. To do this, you must talk with various persons to get more information and solve typical Point & Click puzzles. If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll encounter a few known characters and stumble across some nice easter eggs.
The artwork is great and the controls are designed for the Vita. Nearly everything needs to be done via the touchscreen, which works great most of the time. There were only a few moments, especially directly at the beginning, where I struggled with the controls.

What about trophies?
Each episode has story-related and missable trophies. The most annoying one is clearly “Joey Easter Egg”, as you nearly need to replay the whole episode 1 if you missed this one. Thus, I highly recommend to save frequently and use different save slots. But you shouldn’t have any issues if you follow the detailed walkthroughs for episode 1 and episode 2 on playstationtrophies.org.

Where can I get this game?
Both versions are only available digitally via the PSN store. As far as I know, the game is available in every region. If you need PSN cards, you can buy them here. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
No, it’s clearly not worth the time. You need around 5-6 hours in total to beat both episodes but you’re awarded with lousy 315 points for each. It’s better to buy the PS4 version of Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse. It contains both episodes, is worth 1185 points and has a Platinum Trophy.
