Hey there!
Once you get used to its awful controls, this game is very easy and can be
beaten in half an hour or less.
What is the game all about?
In Hex Tunnel Touch you’re flying through tunnels while avoiding
obstacles. As it was originally released as a VR game called Hex Tunnel,
you see everything from a first-person perspective. As mentioned, you task is
to fly through tunnels while avoiding obstacles. If you get hit once, you must
start all over again.
There are five different worlds (Ice, Fire, Water, Earth and Air), each
consisting of two stages. If you reach the end of the tunnel from stage one,
you will be warped into stage two. Please note that this isn’t a checkpoint. If
you die in stage two, you must start all over again. Luckily, each stage is
very short and lasts only 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Apart from above mentioned worlds, there’s also an Ultra mode, which is way
faster, and a Chaos mode, in which you must beat a combination of all worlds.
The thing you will be struggling most at the beginning is the awful
controls. Moving up and down is done by L2 / R2, while moving left and right is
done with the touchpad. But once you’ve gotten used to this controls, the game
will become very easy.
What about trophies?
All you need to do to unlock the Platinum Trophy is to beat Ice, Fire,
Water, Earth, Air, Ultra and Chaos once. Everything is unlocked right from the
beginning and can be done in any random order.
The best tip I can give you is, to stay as close to the bottom as
possible. With this method, most of the obstacles won’t be able to hit you. The
only world that might need a few tries will be Water, as in this world you must
move up and down to avoid the obstacles.
Where can I get this game?
Hex Tunnel Touch has been released digital only and is available in
the EU and NA PSN store. Each store has its own stack.
If you own PSVR, you might also want to get Hex Tunnel. It’s the
same shitty game but in VR.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com
or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes,
which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, you should definitively get both stacks and play them back to back,
as you will be used to the controls after beating the game once.
