Hey there!
Recently,
there has been a great deal on the Japanese PSN Store. You’ve gotten 50% off if
you buy 2 of the selected games. In my case, this meant get 2 games for the
price of 1 as I’ve chosen Steins;Gate 0 and Chaos;Child らぶchu☆chu!! (both for PS4),
as they had the same price. Today I’m gonna tell you something about Steins;Gate
0. If you want to know more about Chaos;Child らぶchu☆chu!!, check out my
next blog.
What is
the game all about?
Steins;Gate
0 is a Visual
Novel, which has already been released in Japan end of December. Since November
2016 it’s also available in Europe and America. It belongs to the scientific
adventures, which are published by 5pb. The game takes place before, after and in-between
its predecessor (Steins;Gate). Confusing? Yes, but as it’s all about
time traveling, it makes sense at the end. Kinda…
What
about trophies?
As in any
other Visual Novel, you get most of the trophies by advancing through the story
and reaching different endings. Of course, there are also trophies like getting
100% BMG or reading all tips. If you follow the awesome trophy guide on ps3imports.org,
you should be able to unlock the Platinum Trophy in approximately 1 hour. This
guide also works perfectly for all different versions of the game. Wait, did
you say different versions? Yes, it’s stacking time! :-) As of today, there
are 7 different versions. These are: JP PS3, JP PS4, JP Vita, KR PS4, KR Vita,
EU/NA PS4 and EU/NA Vita. Sadly, EU and NA share the same list. What a shame! ;-)
Where
can I get this game?
The easiest
but more expensive way to get the Japanese PS4 version is the Japanese PSN
Store. For this you need a Japanese account as well as a few thousand Yen on
your account. If you don’t know how to set-up a Japanese account, watch out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI.
Everything is explained in detail. If you need Japanese PSN cards, you can buy
them here. They offer digital
codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
In case you
prefer physical over digital versions, you can buy this game at play-asia.com
or solarisjapan.com.
The game is much cheaper there but you must consider transport costs and import
taxes from Japan to the country you live in.
As a
trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes! Steins;Gate
0 is short and easy. It’s definitively worth buying when you want to get a
fast Platinum Trophy. As already mentioned, there are 7 different versions of
this game and if you want to save some time, you can always play a PS4 and a
Vita version of this game simultaneously. Just don’t forget
that your games are locked to one user on the Vita. This means you may want to
buy the physical Vita version of this game.
