Hey there!
Broken Age has been released in 2015 for the PSN store. In
2017, limitedrungames.com released a limited physical version of the game
for PS4 and Vita. Surprisingly, the Vita version has an unique trophy stack.
What is the game all about?
Broken Age is a Point-and-Click game in which you’re in
control of 2 characters (Shay Volta and Vella Tartine). Both live in different
worlds and you can switch between them at any time. During the play, their
worlds collide and both end up being trapped in the other one’s world.
To proceed with the story, you must solve genre-typical puzzles. Be aware,
the puzzles in this game are quite complicated. This game is definitively not
recommended for Point-and-Click newcomers.
Broken Age has a very nice graphical design and a good
soundtrack. Furthermore, it features very prominent voice actors like Elijah
Wood and Jack Black. The controls are very good and if you’re playing on the
Vita, you can use the touch-screen. Unfortunately, the touch-screen doesn’t
work perfectly in every situation.
What about trophies?
This game has only a few story-related but a lot of missable trophies. Thus,
it’s recommended to play with a guide, if you want to finish the game as soon
as possible. Nevertheless, it can’t be completed with one playthrough as there’s
also a trophy for beating the game within one hour. Thus, you need 2 full
playthroughs in any way.
If you’re looking for a good guide, I can recommend you this step-by-step
walkthrough from playstationtrophies.org.
Where can I get this game?
Broken Age can be downloaded from the PSN store and is cross-buy (PS4 &
Vita).
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com
or at scdkey.com.
There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within
minutes.
The separate trophy stack for the Vita is exclusively
available for the limitedrungames.com physical
release. It was limited to 4500 pieces and is sold-out already. Your only
chance to get this game now is to buy it via eBay
but be aware, it won’t be cheap.
As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
No, not really. It’s hard to get, cost a lot and has a lot of annoying missable
trophies.
