Platinum #245: Mecho Tales (Vita)

Hey there!

Thanks to limitedrungames.com, everyone outside of the US is now also able to play the Vita version of this game. Presupposed that you’ve been able to grab one of the limited copies of this game.

What is the game all about?
Mecho Tales is a very short and easy platformer. You must run and jump with your character through a few very short levels in which you must beat enemies and bosses. Every beaten enemy drops a few cogs which are the currency in the game. With this cogs you can buy new drones (weapons). I know, this all doesn’t sound bad but be aware, this game is terrible!
On the Vita, your worst problem will be the controls. The left analog stick is really imprecise and doesn't work properly. Whenever you cam to a tricky part, like when you have to jump over a series of spikes, use the D-Pad. Surprisingly, you can jump much farther and more precisely than with the analog stick.

What about trophies?
You’ll get most of the trophies while progressing through the game. There are trophies for beating every boss and for picking up cogs and hearts. The only trophy that might need some grinding could be the one for buying all drones but it shouldn’t take too long. Simply replay a few levels and beat enemies until you have enough cogs. If you need any help with one of the games trophies, check out this guide on playstationstrophies.org.

Where can I get this game?
Mecho Tales is exclusively available in the NA PSN store and it's cross-buy with the PS4 versions. This means, if your main account is tied to the NA store, simply download the game from there. Everyone else would have to buy a physical copy from limitedrungames.com. Unfortunately, only a few have been made and it's sold out already. You best chance is to buy this game at eBay, but it may cost a lot.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
If you can download it from the NA PSN store when it is on sale, yes. Otherwise just skip this game. The limited physical release isn't worth the money.
