Platinum #271: Aer (AS)

Hey there!

It’s always a nice surprise when an additional stack for an easy game appears. Unfortunately, one trophy is currently glitched and I needed more time to find a workaround than completing the game.

What is the game all about?
Aer – Memories of Old is an adventure in which you take control of one of the last shapeshifters. You have the ability to transform from human into a bird. This ability is indeed needed, as the game takes place on some floating islands high up in the air. Your task is to pilgrimage the Land of Gods in which you must uncover secrets that will help to save reality.
The graphics in the game are nice. The style heavily reminded me of Grow Home. The controls are also good. Unfortunately, the story a little bit too slow driven and boring for my taste. There could have been more action.

What about trophies?
Most of the games trophies are unlocked by following the story and exploring the world. Only a few trophies are missable. If you follow below video walkthrough by IBadDriverI, you won’t miss any trophies and will complete the game in ~2 hours.

Please note that “Hide and Seek” doesn’t unlock as it should at the moment. Therefore, you must do a workaround. For this workaround, check out the video below by The Blakk Vulture.

Where can I get this game?
Aer can be bought in the EU, NA and HK PSN store. Each version has a different stack, so you can unlock this Platinum Trophy thrice. Only the EU version has been released physically and you can get it here or here.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.com or at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Yes, as it is a decent game which can be completed within 2 hours and which has 3 different stacks.

  1. Stupid question, how do you know or find out what games are are available in certain countries as opposed to regions, for example a game that's available on the Hong Kong or Korea psn store but isn't available on other country stores in the Asia region?
