Hey there!
I was really happy when I saw that this stack has appeared, as now I had a
good reason to play my favorite game of 2017 again.
What is the game all about?
In The Sexy Brutale you take control of Lafcadio Boone, a guy who has
been invented to a mask ball. After a short introduction, which also leads as
tutorial, you wake up in a room and have no idea what’s going on. Soon, you
witness a col-hearted murder and you realize, it’s your task to prevent this murder.
For this, you must go back in time (with your pocket-watch) and try to solve
this puzzle. After preventing the murder, you’ll unlock more rooms to discover
within the mansion. Each set of room contains its own guest(s) you need to
save. For this, you need to solve puzzles. But be aware of the staff members,
you can’t be in the same room with one of them.
The more puzzles you solve, the more guests you’ll save and thus, the more
about the story will unfold. The story is really great and has an awesome twist
at the end.
The graphical style is very nice and overall, the game has a very unique
charm. Still one of the best indie games I’ve ever played.
What about trophies?
Most of the trophies are story-related, but there are also 2 trophies
for the 2 different collectibles within the game.
